Sunday's Austrian Grand Prix was many things, not least of them, perhaps, a preview of how F1 may be in the not too distant future.

On the face of it, the fight been Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc was "two young lions clawin' at each other", as 1978 champion Mario Andretti once so eloquently put it after the historic battle between Gilles Villeneuve and Rene Arnoux that made the French Grand Prix, 40 years ago, one of the most sensational and memorable pieces of F1 race footage.
