Extended operating hours for all trains, some buses during F1 race

SINGAPORE - All train services and some bus services will run later during the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix, from Sept 18 to 20.

Public transport operator SMRT will extend the operating hours of the North-South, East-West and Circle lines as well as the Bukit Panjang LRT system by between 1 and 21/2 hours.

For instance, on Sept 18, the last trains to Jurong East, Joo Koon and Pasir Ris MRT stations will leave City Hall MRT station at 1.30am instead of 11.55pm, 11.52 and 12.11am respectively.

The other public transport operator, SBS Transit, will lengthen the operating hours of the North East and Downtown lines as well as the Sengkang and Punggol LRT systems by about 11/2 hour on Sept 18, and by at least 1 hour on Sept 19 and 20.

For instance, on Sept 18, the last train to HarbourFront will depart from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station at 1.19am, while the last train to Punggol will leave Dhoby Ghaut MRT station at 1.40am.

During the three days, SMRT will also extend the operating hours of some of its bus services that start from the bus interchanges in Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Sembawang, Woodlands and Yishun. The bus services are 173A, 189A, 941, 945, 947, 300, 301, 302, 307, 804, 812, 859A, 901, 911, 912 and 913.

SBS Transit will also run four special bus services - EW1, EW5, EW27 and NS16 - that will start from the bus interchanges in Pasir Ris, Bedok, Boon Lay and Ang Mo Kio. Each service will run two trips, at a flat fare of $1.50 per ride.
