URAWA MOVE UP TO EIGHTH AFTER DRAW WITH ALBIREX NIIGATA
Urawa Red Diamonds were held 0-0 by Albirex Niigata on Sunday as the former Asian champions completed their J.League catch-up requirements following their involvement in the Club World Cup.
The draw moved Urawa up to eighth and came four days after their 4-1 win over Shonan Bellmare in another make-up match.
Urawa are eight points adrift of leaders Vissel Kobe, who were not in action at the weekend with Japanese clubs playing a series of friendlies with overseas-based clubs. REUTERS
