Heidenheim goalkeeper Kevin Muller has suffered a concussion, the Bundesliga club said on May 3, after the 34-year-old lost consciousness and was taken to hospital following a collision during their home game against VfL Bochum.
Muller, who joined Heidenheim in 2015 and has started every league game for the relegation-threatened club this season, collided with Bochum's Ibrahima Sissoko in the 50th minute of the goal-less draw on May 2.
"It is not clear how long Kevin Muller will be out for," Heidenheim said in a statement.
Heidenheim, who earned promotion to the Bundesliga in 2023, are 16th with two matches left and risk going into the relegation play-offs as they sit four points below 15th-placed Hoffenheim, who have played a game fewer. REUTERS
