Retired businessman Thomas Gay started following Geylang International when the club was founded in the 1970s, and watched in awe as the likes of Dollah Kassim and Samad Allapitchay led the team to success in the National Football League Division One - then Singapore's top tier - in 1975 and 1976.

More than four decades since the club first took Singapore football by storm, Gay hopes to take the Eagles back to their glory days.
