Football: Warriors FC v Tampines Rovers match called off due to heavy rain

SINGAPORE - A heavy downpour on Friday night led to the postponement of the S-League match between Warriors FC and Tampines Rovers.

The two teams did get their fixture underway at the Jalan Besar Stadium but the pitch soon became too waterlogged for play to continue.

Referee Nathan Chan halted play after 12 minutes. The score was 0-0. After more than an hour of waiting, the game was called off due to bad weather leading to poor pitch conditions.

The tie will be played at a later date, which will be announced on the league's official website (www.sleague.com) at a later time.

Fans are reminded to keep their ticket stubs to use for re-entry.
