Football: Sultan of Selangor's Cup squad announced

SINGAPORE - The S-League has announced on Thursday the squad that will play in the Sultan of Selangor's Cup.

With Home United coach Philippe Aw named to take charge of this year's team, the tactician has picked no less than 11 players from his club in the squad of 18.

The Sultan of Selangor's Cup, an annual friendly game against a Selangor Selection side, will be played at the Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday evening.

A match between the Singapore and Selangor veterans will be played as a curtain-raiser. This year, former Lions like Fandi Ahmad, Malek Awab and Nazri Nasir will once again lace up their boots to face their old Malaysian rivals.

Goalkeepers - Hyrulnizam Jumaat (Home United), Syazwan Buhari (Geylang International)

Defenders - Abdil Qayyim, Juma'at Jantan, Shahrin Saberin, Srina Camara (all Home), Faritz Hameed (Geylang)

Midfielders - Amy Recha, Stanely Ng (both Geylang), Fareez Farhan (Garena Young Lions), M. Anumanthan (Hougang United), Azhar Sairudin, Song Ui Yong, Syahiran Miswan, Zulfahmi Arifin (all Home)

Forwards - Ken Ilso, Khairul Nizam (both Home), Stipe Plazibat (Hougang)
