SINGAPORE - The S-League has seen its first managerial casualty of the season after Jorg Steinebrunner stepped down as head coach of Warriors FC.

This was announced in a statement on the football club's Facebook page on Saturday.

The statement said: "After a string of mediocre performances including the most recent defeat, coach Jorg has decided to step down as head coach of Warriors FC.

"The departure is on mutual terms and the Club accepted Jorg's decision.

"Stepping in as stand-in head coach is Razif Onn. Coach Razif has been with Warriors FC for many years and he has the full support from the management to turn the season around."

The Warriors are the S-League's most decorated club with a record nine titles. It also won the Singapore Cup four times.

But the Choa Chu Kang side have struggled this season and are seventh in the nine-team table with just two wins in 11 matches. Steinebrunner's last game in charge was Thursday's 3-1 defeat by bottom side Garena Young Lions.
