SINGAPORE - The Republic's 22-player squad for the upcoming Asean Football Federation (AFF) Under-19 Championship was confirmed on Friday (June 29).
The tournament starts on Sunday until July 14 in Surabaya, Indonesia.
Singapore are in Group A, alongside Thailand, hosts Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos and the Philippines.
Singapore will open their campaign on Sunday against the Philippines.
Head coach Rob Servais said: "While quite a few players are unable to join us in this tournament, we have put together a young team that has adequate experience - including five players who have played in the Singapore Premier League.
"We will be facing tough opponents, but the boys we have called up have been playing and training regularly in their respective competitions.
"We will have to be creative, disciplined and hardworking but we will put up a strong fight in this international tournament."
Five-time winners Thailand are defending champions. They beat Malaysia 2-0 in last year's final. Singapore finished fourth and did not advance from their group in last year's edition. Singapore's best result was a third-place finish in 2003.
