Football: Singapore gears up as World Cup fever hits

SINGAPORE - The 21st World Cup begins on Thursday (June 14) and even as thousands of fans make their way to Russia, World Cup fever has also gripped Singapore.

The month-long tournament is the planet's second biggest sporting event. The 2014 edition drew 3.2 billion viewers.
