SINGAPORE - Former Manchester United stars Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville were in town for the official launch of The Arena and Cafe Football located at Woodleigh Park on Saturday (April 8).
The event, which hosted around 150 guests and eager fans, saw the United legends interacting with various media outfits and enjoying the ambience of the new cafe.
Cafe Football was originally a joint venture between Singapore tycoonPeter Lim and the alumni of the famed "Class of 92" of Manchester United.
Last year, property development firm Rowsley - also controlled by Lim - acquired the business, but Neville and Giggs remain as minority shareholders and spokesmen. The Singapore outlet is the first franchise to open outside of Britain.
Sporting black-and-red striped T-shirts, the pair captained the two CF Cup finalists in a thrilling match that ended 9-6 in favour of Giggs' team.
Apart from the football-themed restaurant, The Arena offers a wide variety of sports and fitness options which include programmes such as muay thai, aerial yoga, rock climbing, and dance and functional fitness.
