SINGAPORE - Four months into the Deloitte Women's Premier League (WPL) season, what had seemed like a breakthrough year for the women's game has also seen plenty of teething issues surface.
In May, the seven-team WPL was launched to much fanfare after a two-year hiatus owing to the pandemic, with audit firm Deloitte becoming the league's first title sponsor in a three-year deal worth more than $300,000.
