SINGAPORE - There was a noticeable buzz around Clifford Square on Thursday (Sept 21) afternoon as David Beckham shared his healthy eating habits at an AIA event.

Speaking to the media, the former England captain revealed that he is a fan of Singapore's chilli crab and a staple of his diet is salad. He also adopts habits like walking his children to school as part of his fitness regimen.

Although mobbed by fans, the retired footballer, who played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy and Paris St Germain, sportingly signed as many autographs as he could.

Beckham, 42, was the guest for the insurance company at the AIA Vitality Healthy Cookout contest where participants are challenged to create healthier versions of signature local dishes such as carrot cake and nasi lemak.
