Football: FAS issues advisory for LionsXII fans ahead of Malaysian FA Cup final

Safety arrangements for LionsXII supporters have been made by Malaysian authorities for Saturday's Malaysian FA Cup final against Kelantan at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.

Tour buses are advised to enter the stadium premises by the Kompleks Sukan Negara, Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia entrance (see photo). Police escorts will be on scene at bus drop-off points at carparks D and E to usher Singapore fans into the stadium.

Fans will not be able to exit after entry and tour buses will also not be allowed to leave once parked.

A section in the stadium will be reserved for Singapore supporters, and the Malaysian police have strongly recommended that they enter only by the blue turnstiles (see photo).

Akbar Hashim, who organises tour packages for away games regularly, also has some advice for fans travelling up to Kuala Lumpur.

He said: "We must always follow the instructions given by the Malaysian authorities.

"My advice is to not travel individually. It will be safer to travel as a group.

"For those who are travelling up for the first time, please be on your best behaviour."

The Malaysian FA Cup final will kick off at 8.30pm on Saturday.
