My friend Srini has no quota of mercy for which I am grateful. Years ago on a weekend evening on a tennis court he destroys me. His serve whistles, his volleys sing and I slouch home beaten 6-0. He showed me no pity because I wanted none.
Neither do Thailand in the Women's World Cup. Losing 13-0 to the Americans is tough but it's fine. You cry and you start again. You hurt and you train harder. You earned the right to be here through great play and the US earned their goals through hard work.
