SINGAPORE - The national women's team beat Australia 4-3 on Tuesday (Dec 10) at the World Floorball Championship in Neuchatel , Switzerland.
They had earlier recorded a 7-2 win over the United States as well as a 3-1 win over Thailand, whom they had beaten for the SEA Games gold medal a week earlier.
Michelle Lok, captain of the team, nailed the victory down to "sticking to the game plan given by the coaches and having each others' backs regardless of the hiccups faced".
The team will face Germany on Wednesday.
Looking ahead to the game, Lok added that the key will be "maintaining composure and high team spirit and of course sticking to the game plan like what we've been doing".
