Race 1 (1,000m)

(7) SLENDER SILHOUETTE showed good pace but lacked extra over 1,200m last time. She is back over 1,000m and can make amends.

(10) PRINCESS OF ALL ran below par last time but finished a decent second on debut, ahead of (8) QUEENSLAND who had shown potential before that. The latter had excuses in her last two runs when she finished fifth both times over the sprints, but she could bounce back to her best.

(1) OLD FASHIONED has run some decent races and needs to be respected.

Race 2 (1,000m)

(2) EMERALD FORGE is back after a layoff. She has been costly, but is consistent and may be ready to fulfil her potential.

(3) MASTER’S LADY finished behind Emerald Forge a few runs back and she has done little wrong since. She was beaten a neck after a rest last time and could take it to the wire again.

(5) GASLIGHT DANCER showed good pace in her runs before a break. She has a prior engagement which must be watched.

(12) VARACHINO’S CHAMP is making her debut. Watch for market support.

Race 3 (1,400m)

(15) WAYNE is a very well-bred sort and can improve after a fair learning experience on debut. He should relish the distance.

(3) BATTLE OFTHE BULGE may have had problems, but ran on well to be beaten in a close finish last time. He should be right there with a repeat.

Watch out for well-bred first-timer (9) GO JOHNNY GO.

(1) AMANDLA NGAWETHU has shown good pace at times, and if the track is running fast, he could be the one to reel in.

Race 4 (2,400m)

(3) ARLINGTON ACTION ran out an easy winner last time and is in good form. He looks well-placed and could follow up.

(2) SKY PILLAR ROCK stayed on strongly over 2,000m in his last start and could be looking for the extra. He is holding form well.

(4) CHABAL enjoyed a drop in class and won well. Having had his confidence boosted, he could be up there if he sees it out.

(7) CARTAGENA is consistent, has proven stamina and should go close if she settles well.

Race 5 (1,000m)

Lower division race where anything can happen.

(2) LONELY AS A CLOUD was not far off in a stronger field last time and he should enjoy the drop in class.

(1) TIGER STORM has scored once over this distance and he did not finish far when fifth at his last start. Place claims.

(4) MICHAEL FARADAY won a nice race two starts back and looks better than his last race over 1,450m. He takes a further drop in distance, but the blinkers could do the trick.

(5) NKANDLA GOLD is weighted to give him and (3) IN THE ETHER a hard time, but he needs to find his best form.

Race 6 (1,200m)

Another competitive handicap.

(7) DRIVELIKEAMASTER showed good pace in his second run after a rest, and should be at his peak and ready to give of his best.

(9) PALACE REVOLT has been thereabouts recently, but also turned in a few decent performances earlier. He looks a big threat at the weights.

(6) ANTONIO GAUDI finished second last time and did have some hard-luck stories then.

(4) TURBO POWER ran well in his first run after a rest. He is back over his best distance and could test this field.

Race 7 (1,500m)

(4) JORDAN won well over 2,000m four starts ago, but he has also won over this trip before. The Sean Tarry-trained 5YO could benefit from a decent pace and has a good winning chance.

(1) PRESLEY ran on really well to take the second cheque in a tough race last time. He carries top weight of 60kg, but could nevertheless be up to the task.

(5) JURY’S OUT is another that can take it.

(6) ZANTHAR has dropped in merit ratings. He has a 2.5kg apprentice claim and could be the dark horse.

Race 8 (1,600m)

It has been a while since (10) COMMANDER OF ALL has won, but he has been knocking at the door and should have every chance at the weights.

(6) OKLAHOMA TWISTER won a nice race over the mile in his penultimate start, and then followed that up with a fair race against stronger opponents. He looks to have a big say.

(3) SHEETS AND GOGGLES did not disgrace himself at a higher level and comes into it.

(4) MAJALUN could prefer the drop in trip. Keep an eye on him.
