Race 1 (1,200m)
(7) ICED MARMALADE showed improvement and was run out of it only late over this distance last week, when the 3YO finished second to Laydelay. She can go one better.
(1) RIVER FERN did not show her best on the grass last time and will be a danger over this course and distance.
(8) TIMELINE is holding form. She finished third over the 1,000m last time and would not be a surprise winner.
(9) FRENCH ROMANCE should improve off a fair debut and is another one to consider.
Race 2 (1,400m)
An interesting race.
(5) TOTAL ERUPTION showed improvement on local debut and can go one better.
(1) OCEAN FLAME and (2) PRICELESS TREASURE will not have it easy when it comes to winning, but they are threatening a first victory.
(3) Missouri Flame has not run badly in three recent starts. Include the 3YO filly in your combination bets.
Race 3 (2,000m)
(1) ENCHANTING CHOICE finished third over the mile in her last start on Jan 30 and she does look hard to oppose at her first try over 2,000m. She clearly needed her previous run when she was first-up after a two-month break, but she has a very good record on this surface. Top elect.
(3) GINGER DELIGHT is in the form of her life and has some good recent wins. She should fight it out once again.
(5) FIRST WISH is talented on her day and can earn some money. Do not ignore.
(2) VIHAAN’S QUEEN is not reliable but also not out of it.
Race 4 (2,000m)
A weak maiden plate.
(4) MOUNT TREMBLANT is holding his form well and gets a golden opportunity for a first victory.
(3) SALAGADOOLA is in good shape and capable of winning, but is at his first try over this longer distance.
(7) MATT’S WARRIOR put in an improved effort last time and could have more to offer.
(1) AETHELWULF and (2) BOMBER BAY are both consistent but do not find a strong finish when they really need it.
Race 5 (1,600m)
A competitive handicap.
(5) POMEROL is clearly improving and has won two of her last three starts over shorter trips. She carries a penalty for her latest win but can follow up.
(2) HAZE AND SMOKE is in good shape. She finished third last time after winning at her previous run. She is capable of winning.
(4) DESERT CLOUD is not an easy filly to win with but can earn some more money.
(3) GORGEOUS CAPE has been in good form recently. Not to be dismissed.
Race 6 (1,600m)
A very open race and it might be worth to include many runners in this leg of the exotics.
(3) DOWNING SEVEN is not reliable, but he has run better races than this and can threaten these rivals.
(4) ON AN IMPULSE was a very easy maiden winner when he won by four lengths in his penultimate start. He did not repeat that last time over the 1,200m, but he does have a say.
(2) PORFIRIO has won two of his last three starts but is clearly unreliable.
(1) CURTISS CONDOR clearly needed his local debut and is sure to do a lot better.
Race 7 (1,200m)
Trainer Alan Greeff has had a disappointing start to 2026, but (1) HOT SAUCE should go close to winning. She seemed to need her last run and can bounce back to beat these rivals.
(6) HOPE CHEST looked unlucky not to win last time, so she must be respected with Andrew Fortune in the irons.
(7) MAKE BELIEVE has done enough of late to be a factor at the finish.
Greeff does have cover for the selection in the form of (3) HAPPY WIVES, who is in the form of her life. The 4YO mare has made it to the top three in her last four runs over this trip, and won two of them. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Race 8 (1,300m)
A very competitive last race.
(12) FLIGHT ENGINEER is not an easy horse to win with. Fortune is usually at his very best on horses like him, and he might pop up and score.
(11) TEEREX has some solid handicap wins of late but will need to carry another penalty.
(6) KING RAHUL is in good form and clearly not out of it.
(5) Captain Clever finished second over the 1,400m last time, and he has won over this trip before. Worth considering.
