Bodybuilding: Singapore bag two medals at amateur world meet

SINGAPORE - Singapore's bodybuilders won one gold and one bronze medal at the WBPF World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships in Pattaya, Thailand from Nov 29 to Dec 5.

The annual meet is organised by the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation.

Four-time participant Dollah Jaafar won the men's bodybuilding masters (above 60) category, while first-timer Govinthan Bharatan bagged a bronze in the men's physique (up to 170cm) category.

More than 600 athletes from 59 countries, including five representatives from Singapore, took part at this year's amateur world meet.

Dollah, 60, had also clinched a silver medal at the Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Championship in Bhutan in September.
