SINGAPORE - Four contestants were crowned winners at the Fitness Movement League's National Championships (FM League), Singapore's largest local bodybuilding and physique sports organisation, on Sunday (Oct 22).
Sasi Zura, 34, returned from a one-year hiatus to win the Mr Singapore 2017 title for a record-breaking fourth time. Danie Dharma, 31, the Mr Singapore 2016, took top position in the newly created category, Mr Singapore (Classic).

Darren Wee, 30, was named Mr Singapore (Physique), while 29-year-old Angeline Huang was named Women's Bikini National Champion.

The fifth edition of the National Championships was held before a sold-out crowd of over 800 at the MES Theatre at Mediacorp.
"This year, we created two new 'Mr Singapore' categories in order to allow more Singaporeans to get involved in the sport. As we grow, we look forward to discovering more and more local talent that we can groom for the international stage," said FM League founder and president Kevin Chiak.
"Next year, FM League will be working with an American partner to organise the IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) Professional Qualifier Championship to be held in Singapore. The IFBB Professional League is the organisation that crowns the world's No. 1 bodybuilder and physique athlete - Mr Olympia.
"(Former California governor and movie star) Arnold Schwarzenegger won Mr Olympia seven times at the peak of his career," Chiak added.
