Race 1 (1,200m)
(2) GRANDE HAWAII showed promise on debut. She should fight out the finish.
Newcomers (1) DRACHENFUTTER, (6) PROUD MARY and (8) SITVA QUEEN are to be respected on debut and worth a market check.
Race 2 (1,200m)
(6) THE BRONX BULL would have benefited from his debut third and should be competitive.
(1) GONE COLD, (4) SHINING SUN and (3) SHERIFF BILL BROWN are well-bred newcomers, and the betting should provide a guide to their chances on debut.
Race 3 (1,200m)
The exciting (4) SPEEDMAN got back to winning ways over 1,450m last time. With this shorter trip, even under a six-point penalty, is not likely to prevent him from adding to his tally.
(2) TITAN OF THE TURF has not been seen since finishing a close-up third in a 2YO Grade 2 race last season. He is open to any amount of improvement on his reappearance, so he may pose the biggest threat if he does not need the run.
Fellow last-start scorer (5) STONEYWOOD is maturing and should remain competitive.
(1) PALACE PRINCE have earning potential too.
Race 4 (1,600m)
(9) TOP FLOOR improved markedly over this trip when a fast-finishing second on his return from a rest and gelding. With further progress expected, he should go one better and confirm his superiority over (3) POMPEII SHIELD, who is closely matched on recent form.
(2) INDIAN SPICE and the improving (5) SMUGGLER have the form and experience to make their presence felt.
Race 5 (1,600m)
(1) FUTURE GAMBLE and (7) KEEP WARM will likely build on pleasing Highveld introductions to play leading roles. However, the former would not need to improve much on her close-up second to go one better.
(11) MIRACULOUS MOMENT steps up in trip after a promising 1,160m debut third and she could fight out the finish.
(3) LANTERI has shown enough to have a say in the outcome.
Race 6 (1,600m)
(1) BOB’S YOUR UNCLE and (8) OPEN HIGHWAY are closely matched on the form of their Grand Heritage meeting, and there should not be much between them again on these revised terms.
(5) BIRTHRIGHT and (9) THE PLAYBOY BOMBER have the fitness edge.
Race 7 (1,800m)
(3) DUCHESS OF PALOMA has gone from strength to strength since relocating to the Highveld, winning three of her last four starts, including two over this course and distance on Dec 4, 2025 and Feb 5. The James Crawford-trained mare was an authoritative winner over the track and trip last time, and a repeat of that performance under an eight-point penalty should suffice.
(2) FREE IN SEATTLE, (5) ART NOUVEAU and (7) AZALEAS FOR ALL are consistent hard-knockers with solid form at this level, and they should acquit themselves competitively.
Race 8 (2,000m)
(1) GIMMEACHOICE races off an unchanged mark in his peak outing after a course-and-distance third. Huge chance.
(2) ONE MORE STAR and (5) FLASHY APACHE are capable of better than their latest runs, and they could have a say if bouncing back to earlier form.
(9) ARUMUGAM is a consistent hard-knocker with the means to get involved.
Race 9 (1,000m)
(1) PIVOTAL ROLE has shown promise in his three starts. He needed his last run but should bounce back to beat these rivals.
(2) BLINDFIRE picked up a deserving second win and got just a three-point penalty for that, so she may well follow up.
(3) INAFIX has not been at his best of late but can get into the mix of things.
(4) TIGER STORM may need to improve to win, but he is capable of earning some money.
Race 10 (1,450m)
(2) BRAVE VIKING has ability but he does not always show it. He was good last time without winning, but may well go one better.
Trainer Sean Tarry’s (1) TRAIL RUNNER has won her last two starts. This is a tougher ask of her but she can complete a hat-trick.
(8) READY SET FIRE is capable of better than his last run would suggest and could earn some money.
(3) SINGLE COMBAT is not out of it.
