SINGAPORE - Ariel Loiter tries to live up to her name, in part because she knows it will give her the best chance at success.

Her Israeli father, Tomer, and Singaporean mother, Verena Siow, chose "Lion of God" in Hebrew and she has been fighting for her dreams like one.
