Race 1 (1,000m)
(3) DANCING AMBER found only one better on her debut. She was well beaten on the day, though. That was on a soft track and she can go one place higher.
(5) VENTURA BOULEVARD is a Heavenly Blue filly who is making her debut. She represents trainer Alan Greeff and will be ridden by Richard Fourie. She will not be a surprise winner.
(1) AMERICAN PETAL makes her debut and could be a threat.
(2) BLAZING FLAME did not show much on debut but could be smarter this time.
Race 2 (1,400m)
(2) GLOBAL THRILLER was not disgraced on debut when he was slow away. He should be much smarter this time and can score.
(5) RULES OF CONDUCT has Fourie in the irons. He was not disgraced on his Polytrack debut and is a live danger.
(1) CHIEF MASTER showed inexperience on debut but will improve and is a threat.
(4) ROCKING IN RIO showed improvement last time and could contest the finish.
Race 3 (1,400m)
(1) SPLICETHEMAINBRACE fought all the way to the line when touched off by stablemate and runner in (2) ENCHANTING CHOICE. She should make amends for that defeat. Enchanting Choice showed she likes a wet track and is very game, so should fight it out again.
(6) FAMILY POWER is consistent and should also be right there.
(5) Royal City Girl has claims.
Race 4 (1,400m)
(1) MONKEY’S WEDDING got going too late last week on the Polytrack. That run should have brought him on nicely.
(2) GREY WARRIOR has proven to be a difficult ride but is course and distance suited and clearly capable of winning a race.
(3) BRIGHT ERUPTION showed improvement last time and could have more to offer.
(12) INDESTRUCTABLE is improving and looks capable of winning over this distance.
Race 5 (1,200m)
(2) MORFELIHA has not been beaten far in her last two starts.
(13) DAFFODIL DELIGHT is an interesting runner in this handicap, taking on her elders.
(12) CAPE CAPRI is in good shape and is another to consider.
(5) TANZANITE was an impressive winner last time and could follow up.
Race 6 (2,000m)
(5) THUNDER MASTER won twice in his last three starts. He can follow up.
(10) HELIOTROPE is consistent and has made the trip from the Western Cape. Must be respected.
(6) CURTISS CONDOR is just as good on the grass as on the Polytrack. In the mix again.
(1) HEEMSTEDE broke a long losing run with a solid victory last time and should be a threat.
Race 7 (2,800m)
(3) BAD MEDICINE, who is unbeaten in three starts for Kelly Mitchley, tries this longer distance for the first time.
(1) ZATARA MAGIC was beaten by (2) BOURNEMOUTH in this race in 2025. Since then, Bournemouth has not won again while Zatara Magic has won four times, including the Algoa Cup.
(4) JUAN CARLOS and (7) ANATOLIAN SILVER are in good form and can also earn some money.
Race 8 (1,200m)
(2) AYUWI YUWI makes her local debut for the Greeff-Fourie team and can score.
(10) BLACK PATH has made the trip from Cape Town and is another to consider.
(4) IM THE BUZZ was not reliable in the Western Cape but can be a live danger on stable debut for Mitchley.
(7) QUEEN OF JAZZ has improved of late but may be at best on the Polytrack.
Race 9 (1,200m)
(3) FLYING FATE raced green when finishing off her race well on debut. She is sure to have come on from that effort.
(2) PEACE ROSE has improved with each outing. She was narrowly beaten last time and should be a big runner.
(1) SIYABAMBELELA is holding form well and, from the best of the draws, must have a winning chance.
(4) VAANS SPIRIT has run two promising races on the Poly
Race 10 (1,200m)
(14) WARRIOR OF ROYALTY is not reliable but is better than his last run would suggest. He can win a race of this nature.
(3) TRIPPING THUNDER is seeking a hat-trick after some solid wins and deserves respect.
(13) DIABLO is in good form and capable of making the frame.
(12) JOHNNY DRAMA is not without claims and can make the quartet.
Race 11 (1,800m)
(2) SPANISH FEUD improved last time and can open her account.
(7) CAN WE START was favourite last run over further but faded badly. All three runs were in the soft. Switch to Poly could help.
(6) CALI BULLET was well beaten when trying further. Shows some ability and can feature.
(1) QUANDURA has shown some ability and can improve with first time tongue-tie.
Race 12 (1,800m)
(7) MASTER DU ROUVRAY has a big weight but goes well over course and distance.
(5) HIGH QUEUE is hardly ever out of the money lately. Course and distance suits and he has a strong winning chance.
(4) SESAME takes on males but won well under a big weight on the Poly last time. She did get a five-point raise in the handicap which could be an issue.
(1) THE WOLF goes well on Poly and has been improving of late.
Race 13 (1,900m)
(3) MAGIC MAVERICK has shown signs of coming to hand and, with a 1.5kg allowance, a light weight and a world-class rider aboard, she should go close.
(4) TAKEYOURBESTSHOT has excellent Poly form. Keagan De Melo is replaced by a 4kg-claiming visiting apprentice who could prove better than his allowance.
(7) NATIONAL DREAM is showing signs of his best and now gets blinkers. He can surprise.
(5) CHASING GOLD was a length back to Takeyourbestshot last time but is 9kg out at the weights with her rival, given the apprentice claim.
Race 14 (1,600m)
(6) RAGNAR THE KING is back over what looks to be his preferred surface. He should start at lengthy odds.
(7) MY LUCKY CHARM showed up well on his local debut after showing some fair Highveld form. Drops in class.
(3) DEANDRE’S DREAM ran well below ability when taking on stronger last start. Ran well on Poly in his penultimate start. Competitive in this line-up.
(4) GREEN MILE enjoys the Poly and was not far back on her handicap debut.
Race 15 (1,400m)
(4) THOUGHT CONTROL makes her Poly debut but showed up well first run out of the maidens.
She meets (3) SPIRIT OF SHIMLA 1kg better off. There should not be much between them, but the weight could tell.
(2) OKLAHOMA GIRL is lightly raced but has her peak run after returning from a break. Showed promise before her maiden win.
(1) OH MY GUCCI GIRL has only 48kg to shoulder. From the best of the draws, she could prove the one that they all have to catch.
Race 16 (1,200m)
(2) QUEEN FENN is over her best course and distance. She has a good draw and should feature prominently.
(6) GRUE OF ICE has been knocking at the door for some time now. She boasts consistent form over course and distance and has a useful apprentice back aboard.
(10) TIME IN PARIS has been improving nicely of late. She now gets a 4kg claimer aboard, which could be enough to see her home.
(7) RAFEEF’S CHOICE is another that has been improving of late and was touched off last run. Her last win was on the Poly.
Race 17 (1,000m)
(4) CATCH A PENNY boasts useful Cape form. Touched off last run and should go close again.
(1) MAGICAL SKY has won both of her recent starts over course and distance. She obviously enjoys the Poly and can win again.
(2) SUMMER WINTER is seldom far back and was possibly in need of her last run.
(7) RUBY RISING has her third run back from a break. She was a close-up third last run and has a good chance in this.
