SINGAPORE - Sundown Marathon founder Adrian Mok has launched a book of short stories of inspirational local runners involved in the marathon, or who had participated in the night race.

The launch took place at the Ang Mo Kio Public Library on Wednesday (March 1), where Minister of State for Manpower Teo Ser Luck was guest of honour.

Titled 'Runnerdotes: A Collection of Anecdotes from Inspirational Runners', the book includes contributions from reigning SEA Games marathon champion Soh Rui Yong, 2013 SEA Games marathon winner Mok Ying Ren and Olympian Neo Jie Shi.

Apart from offering running tips, the book aims to show its readers how lessons learnt from the track can apply to real life.

Said Adrian: "In my darkest moments in running, I have learned to draw strength and to conceive positivity. These were lessons I applied to the Sundown Marathon business."

The paperback book retails for $23 at all major bookstores. It will also be on sale at the OSIM Sundown Marathon 2017 Night Festival.

The Night Festival will be held at the F1 Pit Building from March 21-24 from 5.30pm to 10.30pm, and March 25-26 from 2pm to 7am.

OSIM Sundown Marathon 2017 participants can buy the book for $20 online at sundownmarathon.com/singapore.

This is the 10th year anniversary of the Sundown Marathon.

A donation of $1 from the sale of each copy will be given to Sundown with Love, which is part of Sundown Marathon's charity outreach.
