NEW YORK - Hellen Obiri led a Kenyan podium sweep at the New York City Marathon on Sunday, winning the women's race in a course record two hours 19 minutes and 51 seconds.
Sharon Lokedi finished second in 2:20:07, while Sheila Chepkirui (2:20:24) was third.
It was the fourth major title for Obiri and her second in New York after she previously won in 2023.
The five-borough classic capped the World Marathon Majors calendar for the year. REUTERS
