When Theodore Poh was 18 years old, he thought he was a tough guy because he was a loan-shark runner, but an incident in 2015 changed his mind quickly.

He was caught by the police after filming his friend setting fire to the front doors of debtors' homes. "I needed quick cash to pay for a smoking fine. I had never committed a crime before that," he said. "I really regret committing the crime."
