A worker who felt unwell was secured to a stretcher and lowered to the ground from the top of a tower crane. He was accompanied by a Dart rescuer.

SINGAPORE – A man who felt unwell while working atop a tower crane around 30m high near Tanjong Katong Road was rescued by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) on Nov 10.
Two firefighters and four rescuers from SCDF’s elite Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (Dart) responded to the incident at a construction site in Thiam Siew Avenue at around 5.30pm, said the force in a Facebook post that day.
They climbed up the crane the man was working on via a cat ladder to reach him, said SCDF.
The man, who was inside the crane cabin, was given water and oxygen by SCDF personnel, before he was secured to a stretcher and lowered to the ground.
During the descent, the man was accompanied by a Dart rescuer who was also attached to the stretcher for the man’s safety.
The man was assessed by a paramedic before he was taken to Changi General Hospital.
