SINGAPORE - A woman's leg was caught in the gap between the MRT platform and the train at Jurong East station at 9am on Wednesday.
According to an SMRT statement, commuters who witnessed the incident immediately notified station employees who managed to safely free the passenger's leg within minutes. She was able to continue with her journey.
Mr Patrick Nathan, SMRT vice-president of corporate information and communications, said: "We would like to remind commuters to put safety first especially when train doors are about to close to avoid any mishaps or accidents."
