SINGAPORE - A woman was injured after being hit by an SBS Transit bus along Balestier Road towards Thomson Road on Saturday (Oct 15).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the incident opposite Jalan Datoh at 2.53pm and dispatched an ambulance to the scene.

In response to media queries, a police spokesman said the 39-year-old woman was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng hospital. He added that police investigations are ongoing.

"We are in touch with her family to find out how she is and to render assistance as best we can," said Ms Tammy Tan, senior vice-president of corporate communications, SBS Transit. "Meanwhile, we are assisting the Police in their investigations."

The incident was captured by the rear camera of Mr Ong Meng Wan's car.

The video was uploaded by road safety community Facebook groups Roads.sg and Taxi Uncle. It drew responses from netizens, some of whom were concerned for the woman's well-being.

Mr Ong wished her a speedy recovery in a post on the Facebook page of Roads.sg.
