An 84-year-old woman who was living in Geylang Lorong 6 became the fifth person to die of dengue fever this year.

The woman, who died last Friday, was one of eight people living in Lorong 6 to be infected with the mosquito-borne disease. The area is part of an active Guillemard/ Geylang cluster with 111 people infected so far, 21 of them in the past fortnight.
