Woman, 74, taken to hospital after her car skids in Upper Thomson

SINGAPORE - A 74-year-old driver was injured after her car skidded along Upper Thomson Road towards Lornie Road on June 12.
The police said it was alerted to the accident at 2.50pm that day.
“A 74-year-old female car driver was (taken) conscious to the hospital,” the police said. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said she was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
A report by Shin Min Daily News on June 13 said a witness saw the car mounting the pavement. Pictures taken at the accident site, believed to be near the Housing Board estate in Shunfu Road, show the car’s airbags deployed and bollards knocked down.
Residents told the Chinese daily they heard a loud bang and saw the police and ambulances arriving shortly after.
This is the second reported accident involving elderly persons this week. On June 9, an 89-year-old driver and his 90-year-old passenger
Police investigations into the June 12 accident are ongoing.
