SINGAPORE - Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) has introduced a four-parks-in-one membership scheme.

The Friends of Wildlife (FOW) membership - which costs a yearly $119 per adult and $79 per child or senior citizen - allows unlimited visits to four parks: Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari, River Safari and Singapore Zoo.

FOW members will have free weekday tram rides, retail and F&B discounts, and opportunities to save on parking fees. Senior citizens will have free tram rides on weekends, too.

Single park membership fees have also been reduced. Memberships now start at $39 for Friends of Bird Park or River Safari, and $79 for Friends of Night Safari or Singapore Zoo.

In addition, both members and non-members will be able to travel on a trial direct bus service from the heartlands to Mandai. Heartland Express, as it is called, will run every weekend and on selected public holidays, between May 28 and Sept 25 Sept this year, from Tampines (via Bedok) and Sengkang to the Singapore Zoo.

The decision for Heartland Express was made in response to feedback from the public to offer direct services from locations less well accessed by public transport.

A review will be carried out after the four-month trial to decide the long-term feasibility of the bus service said Wildlife Reserves Singapore in a news release on Wednesday (May 18).

More infomation on pick-up and drop-off points, bus timings and fees for the Heartland Express can be found at zoo.com.sg/heartlandexpress.
