Kids help in mini charity bazaar

Children and staff from Kidz Meadow Childcare (Buangkok Crescent) will whip up traditional kueh such as ondeh-ondeh and sell them from self-built kampung huts at a mini charity bazaar today.

All sales proceeds from the delicacies and other traditional crafts will be donated to the Malay Youth Literary Association (4PM), one of the 58 beneficiaries supported by the President's Challenge this year.

Release of EU economic data

June flash estimates for the euro area's consumer, business and economic sentiment will be released today.

Confidence was on the rise in April and May, after months of declines. For this month, economists are expecting broadly stable data to be released by the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, which conducts regular surveys for these different sectors of the European Union economies.

G-20 summit on energy issues

Group of 20 (G-20) energy ministers will gather in Beijing today for a two-day meeting.

Sustainable energy issues, such as global energy development and energy-technology innovations, are on the agenda.

The G-20 is expected to adopt a communique tomorrow.
