Some Peeping Tom cases may be due to sex addiction disorders, say experts
What makes people peep or take upskirt videos? Some do it on impulse. Others are repeat offenders, devoid of empathy. And there is a third group for whom it is a mental disorder. The condition is in the spotlight after a spate of Peeping Tom cases on campuses. Psychologists say they have been seeing a rise in the number of people suffering from sex addiction disorders that lead to voyeurism and other sex offences. Deep-seated psychological issues, such as depression, childhood abuse or bipolar disorder, could augment their voyeurism habits.
