Yesterday's report, "State funeral for SR Nathan on Friday", described Mr Nathan as Singapore's first elected president. This is wrong.
Mr Ong Teng Cheong - Singapore's fifth president - was the first president to be elected. Mr Nathan - the nation's sixth president - was the second elected president.
