The guest had written a post in Chinese on social media platform Threads at about 4.15pm on Oct 17, alleging that $3,000 in cash was stolen by a housekeeping staff member on Oct 17.

According to his post, he had left about $3,000 in cash inside a plastic bag in his hotel room on the night of Oct 16. He then left the hotel room for Universal Studios Singapore.

On Oct 17, he said, the bag of cash was stolen.
