The better reliability and connection speeds that the new submarine cable provides has helped to attract the interest of Internet service providers (ISPs) here and abroad.

The Straits Times understands that several Singapore ISPs, as well as international ones, are in talks to work with Australian communications firm Vocus to use the 4,600km Australia Singapore Cable (ASC) system.
