Two people were taken to hospital after a road accident between two cars and a motorbike.

SINGAPORE – Two people have been taken to hospital after a road accident between two cars and a motorcycle on the KJE on Aug 13.
When contacted, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident on the expressway towards Tuas at about 5.25pm.
Two women – a 47-year-old car passenger and a 29-year-old motorcyclist – were conscious when the SCDF took them to the Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
A 51-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations, the police added.
According to the 2024 report on the annual road traffic situation, the police said the number of accidents involving motorcyclists increased by 4.7 per cent, from 3,792 cases in 2023 to 3,969 cases in 2024.
Also, the number of motorcyclist and pillion rider casualties increased by 4.7 per cent, from 4,303 people in 2023 to 4,507 in 2024.
While motorcycles made up only 14.7 per cent of the total number of vehicles in Singapore in 2024, motorcyclists or pillion riders were involved in 55.2 per cent of all traffic accidents in the same year.
