It was 1943, in the midst of World War II, and Mr Ishwar Lall Singh wanted to join the Indian National Army (INA) to help with India's independence struggle.
But only 14 years old then, he was told by Indian nationalist Subhash Chandra Bose that he was too young to join the fight.
