Statistics do not tell the full story when road safety is concerned. Then again, for something as qualitative as safety, we cannot do without statistics.
Take the number of accidents which resulted in injuries between 2014 and 2018. According to the Traffic Police, these cases hit a high of 8,304 in 2016 before sliding to reach a five-year low of 7,690 last year.
