SINGAPORE - Ahead of its mid-2016 launch in Singapore, London-based bus operator Tower Transit has set up an online poll to let members of the public vote on the design of its bus captains' uniform.

The poll, conducted on its Facebook page, allows people to choose from four different designs for male and female bus captains.

Bus captains on the 26 routes to be operated by Tower Transit have also been polled on their choice of uniforms.

Their preferences will be taken together with the votes from the public, though the bus captains' votes carry more weight.

Tower Transit says the poll, which started on Oct 23, has already received more than 1,000 votes so far.

The poll will end on Nov 13.
