SINGAPORE - A temporary bus service linking Bukit Panjang MRT and LRT stations to Choa Chu Kang North 5 will be launched from Sunday (April 24).

The new service number 979M will provide residents of Choa Chu Kang North 5 with a direct connection to Bukit Panjang MRT station, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and SMRT said in a joint statement.

Service 979M operates daily from 6am to 11.30pm at intervals of 30 minutes. It will also operate on public holidays.

The service is a temporary route which will be integrated into Service 979 when the widening of the junction between Stagmont Ring and Woodlands Road by LTA is completed.
