SINGAPORE - Two in five taxis are now electrified, with operators having their largely diesel cabs replaced with either petrol-electric hybrids or full-electric models.

According to new Land Transport Authority figures, there were 7,259 petrol-electric hybrid and 133 full-electric cabs as at end-September - making up nearly 40 per cent of the 18,772 taxis here.
