Private-hire operators may get licence to offer street-hail services

Unused private-hire cars at the Singapore Sports Hub last month. Industry estimates put the fleet of unused vehicles - mostly left behind by Uber - at over 2,000. Yet, to entice drivers, the private-hire sector has placed orders for hundreds of BMW, Opel and Renault cars.
