New COE criterion could drive down prices of electric vehicles

SINGAPORE - From May 6, the price of some electric vehicles (EVs) could be nearly $30,000 cheaper than what they are today.
The Nissan Leaf EV, which is now listed at $181,300 with a Category B certificate of entitlement (COE), could potentially be priced in the $150,000 region when it is re-categorised to fall under Category A.
