SINGAPORE - More than 500 passengers on two Singapore Airlines (SIA) flights - one to Bangkok and the other to Melbourne - were stranded at Changi Airport for up to about six hours on Wednesday (June 27) due to aircraft problems.

Flight SQ972 to Bangkok eventually left at about 3.15pm after an aircraft change; five hours and 40 minutes behind schedule.
