Singapore welcomed its largest-ever container vessel yesterday. MSC Isabella can carry 23,656 standard twenty-foot containers, enough space for approximately 222 million bananas.

The cargo ship, which is about 400m long and 61m wide, was built in South Korea and delivered to global shipping company MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) in August. It started sailing on Aug 28 from the Chinese port of Qingdao for several ports in Europe, including Rotterdam and Antwerp.
