46-year-old man dies after accident on BKE towards Woodlands Checkpoint

SINGAPORE - A 46-year-old man has died after an accident on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on Wednesday evening (July 4).

The Singapore Police Force said it was alerted to a road accident involving two cars on BKE towards Woodlands Checkpoint at around 6.35pm. An unconscious man was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where he died from his injuries, said police.

Pictures posted on the Facebook group SG Road Vigilante showed a silver Mercedes flipped sideways, beside a grey Mitsubishi car.

In an accompanying 18-second video, a man was seen trying to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a middle-aged man.

The Straits Times understands that the man who died was the driver of the Mercedes.
