Heavy traffic expected at checkpoints over Labour Day weekend

SINGAPORE - The Immigrations & Checkpoints Authority has warned travellers to expect delays at the land checkpoints at Woodlands and Tuas this Labour Day weekend.

Traffic volume is expected to build up from Thursday and last until Sunday.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys and car-pool where possible.

They should also check the traffic situation at both land checkpoints before embarking on their journey either at the Land Transport Authority's One Motoring website (www.onemotoring.com.sg), MyTransport.SG portal (MyTransport.SG), or via the Expressway Monitoring & Advisory System (EMAS) installed along the AYE and BKE.

The ICA reassured travellers that it will continue to take necessary measures to improve clearance efficiency without compromising security.
