SINGAPORE -Traffic is expected to be heavy through the land checkpoints at Woodlands and Tuas with Hari Raya Puasa coming up on July 17.

The traffic volume is expected to build up from July 16 and continue until July 19, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority said in an advisory on Monday.

For departure, traffic at both checkpoints is expected to be particularly heavy on July 16 and 17. For arrival, the day to avoid is July 19.

Travellers are advised to adjust their travel plans if possible, car-pool, maintain lane discipline, ensure that they are carrying their own and valid passports for immigration clearance, and make sure that they do not carry unlawful or prohibited goods into or out of Singapore.

Eligible travellers should also use the enhanced Immigrated Automated Clearance System lanes at bus halls, and motorists are advised to check on the traffic situation at both land checkpoints before embarking on their journey.
